Studying in any international country can be quite expensive including institution charges and living costs wherein a scholarship can make a big difference in your education. Speaking of UK, itis a great opportunity to get some of the best higher education in the world.
 
However, this kind of quality usually does not come cheap and most international students usually need some form of financial aid to cover all or part of their study and living costs in the UK. The UK Government and UK Universities offer a large number of scholarships for international students.
 
Here are some of the renowned scholarships awarded every year for international students who want to study in the United Kingdom.
 
1. The Chevening Scholarships
 
The Chevening Scholarship is an international  scheme which enables students with leadership qualities from over 170 countries and territories to undertake a one-year master’s degree in any subject at any UK university.   Commission in the UK (CSC) awards scholarships and fellowships for those who want to pursue a Master’s or PhD at a UK university. The scholarships are offered each year to students coming from the Commonwealth countries. Candidates are selected based on their previous academic history and their potential to aid in developing a better life for citizens of their home countries. Each scholarship provides airfare to and from United Kingdom, tuition and examination fees, personal maintaining allowance, thesis grant (if applicable), and initial arrival allowance, among others. The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are offered to support outstanding graduate students from all around the world to study at the .
