Each one of us at a certain time in our lives have thought of studying abroad but somehow we have always worried about the financial strain it may bring along. 1. Australia Awards Scholarships
The most prestigious of all scholarships is awarded by The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) of Australia. They are offered to students from developing countries and provide full tuition fee waiver, accommodation, and allowances for study material. Applications are open in the first week of February and close in the last week of April.
2. International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
These Scholarships are open for Masters by Research and Doctoral students in all subjects and offer 100 % tuition waiver. These scholarships are offered by all universities and make Australia a preferred destination for research students. The applications are open in the first week of October and close in the last week of January.
3. Destination Australia Scholarships
These Scholarships are valued at AUD 15000 per student, per year, and are available for students undertaking a Certificate IV through to PHD. Students intending to study in regional Australia are eligible to apply. Applications are open in the first week of December and close in the last week of January.
4. UNSW International Scholarships
The University of New South Wales is an Australian Public Research University, which offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarships. These scholarships are valued at up to AUD 5000 per year and applications are usually open in the first week of May.
5. Australia APEC Women in Research Fellowships
The Australia-APEC Women in Research Fellowship provides financial support for high achieving female researchers from developing APEC economies to pursue research opportunities in partnership with Australian education and research institutions. The scholarships usually close December each year.
